Just kidding. Kind of.
I’m hitting the point in our wedding planning where everything just seems too expensive, too hard to organize, too hard to find the right thing, etc. It just seems so crazy to spend so much money on the wedding when it could be going to something else like students loans or a down payment for a house.
We aren’t really going to elope because I’ve always wanted a wedding and reception. I’d never forgive myself if we didn’t do it.
But why is everything so expensive?
I keep thinking of the scene in Father of the Bride where Steven Martin is pulling the extra hot dog buns out of the package in the store because he doesn’t need them. I totally get it now.
We’ve been talking a lot lately about how we are going to get everything together by September and if that means making it even smaller then that’s what we will have to do.
Any advice for how to cut costs or be creative with things like the food?
