Weekend in Pittsburgh #2

(Left: Me and my friends Eva and Noel at The Abbey last week. Right: A yummy strawberry and basil cocktail and pretty peonies.)

DVE Comedy Festival

The DVE Comedy Festival is tonight at the Byham Theater. Comedians Chris D’Elia, Roy Wood Jr., Bret Ernst and Jimmy Shubert are all part of it. Tickets are $55. I love stand up comedy and this sounds really fun.

Jam on Walnut

I’ve never been to this, but I know it draws a huge crowd. It’s an outdoor concert on Saturday that is a benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Walnut Street in Shadyside is shut down for the night and there’s lots of music, food and booze. If you can’t make it to this one, they do it again in July and August.

Ingrid Michaelson concert

Ingrid Michaelson will perform at Stage AE on Sunday. Simple Plan and Magic! will also be performing. The concert is part of the 100.7 Star acoustic Sunday funday. The concert starts at 6 p.m. General admission is $35.

Festa Junina at Spirit

Spirit in Lawrenceville is holding an event tonight celebrating Brazilian music and culture. Their website says to wear a plaid shirt and dance to Brazilian rhythms from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. There is a $5 cover charge. You have to be 21 for this event.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood exhibit

If you are looking for something to do with kids the Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood exhibit is now open at the Children’s Museum. It looks super cute and fun.
